Tom Abray has an MA in English with a focus on creative writing. He has taught creative writing to college students. His fiction has appeared in magazines such as The Malahat Review, Fiddlehead and Prairie Fire, and he has published poetry in Descant and Harpweaver.
His short story collection, Pollen, was nominated for both the Paragraphe Hugh MacLennan Prize for Fiction and the Concordia University First Book Prize at the 2012 QWF Awards. He recently published Where I Wanted to Be (review), a short novel.
Tom has also been a judge for the CBC/Air Canada Short Story Contest, as well as the Quebec Writers’ Federation Awards.
